I was born in La Mesa and raised my daughter here.  I have always cared deeply about La Mesa.  Whether donating funds to building the Boys and Girls Club or supporting other local charities, I give back.  I'm also a director of a non-profit and do animal rescue. I'm a Board Member of the La Mesa History Center.

I have an BA in Philosophy from UCSD and a law degree from Cal Western.  I've been a member in good standing of the California Bar since 1995.

I enjoy gardening and reading. My favorite authors include Tom Wolfe, Phillip Roth and Sinclair Lewis.

I love art and music.  Plein Air is my favorite style.   Joaquin Rodrigo, Jean Sibelius and Richard Wagner top my list of composers.  Lady Gaga, the Eagles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day are on my playlists.

Oh and I love cats!
